[Link] | [1] still dealing with the fallout from spn 5x10, but this little vidclip cheered me up some [gakked from ran_cl],
and, pffft, nothing can stop Cas' cunning smite- he can navigboozlecircumploit every loophole in Creation, rar \O/
[2] merlin 2x08 (last week's)! i have not been watching the show since gwen and lancelot, but someone was singing this ep's praises and i was INTRIGUED. and, of course, arthur is still a prat but the bit towards the end? my mouth was hanging open and i was twisting my shirt in my hands, and whoa, rage is such a beautiful thing to watch.
[3] damn x factor for its catchy mainstream music- shakira on loop, eff.
[4] hrrrrm, i am making a list of favourite words, and 'smite' has been on it for a long, long time, as has 'precision', 'warmth', 'luminous' and *endless list*. does anyone have any favourite words to share?

i don't know what to think about this s5/s6 spn business. i feel like everyone will have a clearer idea mid-season 5 whether there is a necessity for a s6. but for the mo', the consensus?

All the AU prompts over at Dean/Castiel community is making me think that we've gone past a certain point in these characters' narrative. I still think I prefer canon Dean and Castiel in fics, though.

[Link] | Oh, wow, the fic exchange at Dean/Castiel has finished and the authors have been revealing themselves on the comm. I've been catching a few fics that I didn't read- I stuck to the angst-free fics mostly during the exchange- but these angsty ones are delish. I might have a huge hard-on for fics that deal with the power struggle (in general, power struggles, yum!) between the Winchesters and the Angels- the way that Dean and Sam will adapt, and Dean's fucking endless lip when it comes to Zachariah, Lucifer, Raphael and even our C♥stiel, it gives me sooo much hope, because humanity is good at that, while Angels- Graced-uppity ones at least- ha! Now I'm all drifty, wondering if Castiel is a little bit in love with Dean's defiance/spirit.

[2] In other news, some seriously good fic is being churned out of the Dean/Castiel fandom *waves shippy flag*. I would link but I'm tiiiiiiiiiired yet again and I'll probably end up doing a *htmi* ie. let my html show. If someone wants recs, though, drop a comment with a genre (sweet, angsty, long!fic) and I'll rec a Dean/Castiel fic.

Although, saying all this, I do remember the wanktastic rumour that went around about Misha Collins thinking that Jensen Ackles was a stuck-up prick...and, yeah, I have to say that I find that hot to a hilarifying degree. If their whole dramatic relationship is based off a sekrit hateful RL interaction, just...there's something ragingly obvious going on there then- heh heh, fanwankers en't ever gonna sink this ship.

[Link] | i don't think i have any fannish stories left in me. i've been trying to pick over the wing!fic i alluded to but nothing is coming together, not even a trope-ish jaunt because while i'll read it happily, i don't have the patience to write that sort of thing. i sort of want to come up with something original and have been flipping through stuff like 'a very old man with enormous wings' as well as going back further and reminiscing about a certain YA novel that has the characters known as stormwings :X.
the marquez bit is because i think the wings should be something unwieldy- even a debilitating reminder of the grounded flight. the second bit from tamora pierce is mostly because i'm enamored of the rumor going around that an angel's feathers might actually be the stuff that make up the angel-killing swords- savage angel is savage/nightmarish ♥
of course, when it comes to actually sitting down and trying to write the damn fics- mhpf.
also, not-so-randomly, any kind of character-bashing makes me feel sad.

[Link] | [1] I've been feeling slightly discomfited by the amount of recent fics which deal with Castiel being raped. I haven't clicked on them, but it's enough to just glance at my pairing and the warnings and then scroll past with a heavy heart. Where is my kickass!Castiel, fandom?
[2] the whitewashed, hollow bones of a bird crunch under his heel
This line has been haunting me for months- I need a fic/plot to shoehorn it into but nothing has yet obliged...*brightens* maybe I should write a kickass!Castiel fic around this line, although, hum, dead bird doesn't really match :X
[3] I just started reading 'Good Omens'- they are socute, and the droll tone is ever-so-pleasing. Also, I am seeing how it has influenced Kripke’s Supernatural.
[4] Apparently, Misha speaks Italian on some CSI:NY ep he starred in? When I have time I am going to dig for that clip because egads ♥. Also it will keep me away from being spoiled for s5 *stays strong*

[Link] | I've forgotten exactly how to makes those little lj heart things because &misha; conveys my love so much better- just a heads up with that new compulsion. My favourite bit about &misha; is that you kind of don't know what answer'll come out of his mouth.
Also I will say I am kind of, sort of, really, really mortified about Misha and certain Asylum questions. Whhhhhhhhy so, Britannia? You were supposed to lead us all with teh good manners D: I was all gung-ho about Misha and fandom intersecting but now it seems to be going to everyone's heads and bucketloads of entitlement along with. I liked it when it was all subtle flavours of 'he knows that we know that he knows'.
...but having seen Misha's Twitter have got over it- what a puckish enabler.
And, uhm, random American Idol fact that made me sentimental-y:
Adam painted one of Kris' fingernails black in solidarity, and Adam took the polish off one of his fingers in solidarity.
A small, quiet gesture of rising up as one \o/. Srsly, I am still seeing Adam=SPN Lucifer as a very, very sexy thing- but I suppose 'homosexual' will then be associated with 'evil' by haters so nix that...I am now understanding why Misha wants Miley Cyrus as Lucifer.
